Shanghai, China – From October 13 to October 15, MicroPort Endovascular (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. ("MicroPort® Endovascular") attended the ENDOVASCOLOGY 2016 in Shanghai and hosted a satellite meeting for academic exchange on endovascular aortic repair ("EVAR"). The ENDOVASCOLOGY 2016 was hosted by Chinese Medical Doctor Association, Special Committee of Endovascology of Chinese Medical Doctor Association, and the Vascular Surgery Department of Changhai Hospital of the Second Military Medical University, with more than 2,000 experts and scholars from China, US, Europe, Australia, Japan and South Korea in attendance.

On October 15, MicroPort® Endovascular hosted a satellite meeting "Development of EVAR Techniques: From 'UNIBODY ' to 'LOW PROFILE'," chaired by Professor Zhiqing Zhao of Changhai Hospital of the Second Military Medical University and Professor Jianhua Huang of Xiangya Hospital of Central South University, exchanging ideas with attended experts on the experience in clinical application of Aegis™ Bifurcated Stent-Graft System and Delivery System ("Aegis™") and Hercules™ Stent-Graft with Low Profile Delivery System ("Hercules™").

Professor Zhiqi Lin of Nanfang Hospital of Southern Medical University shared his experience in using Aegis™ to treat abdominal aortic dissection. Professor Wei Li of People's Hospital of Peking University introduced the main features of Hercules™ Stent-Graft with Low Profile Delivery System, as well as its application in some special cases. Professor Wei Wang of Xiangya Hospital of Central South University lectured on the selection of stent grafts in complex thoracic aortic diseases, highlighting the significance of low profile sheath and soft inner tube of the Hercules™. In the end, the speakers and experts of the presidium of the congress had hot discussions on the indications and surgical skills of AAA stent graft with uni-body structure, as well as the clinical significance of Low Profile delivery sheath, which stimulated active interaction with the audience.

During the congress, MicroPort® Endovascular set up a booth with special areas for trying out simulators, displaying products and watching video, which attracted many domestic and international attendees to visit the booth, try out devices and inquire for product information. Taking the opportunity of the congress, MicroPort® Endovascular invited some experts to visit the company. Visitors were shown around the MicroPort® Endovascular product exhibition center and the production cleaning room of aortic stent-graft system, and briefed its development history and product features, which largely enhanced their understandings in the sound quality management procedure of MicroPort® Endovascular. Meanwhile, experts and MicroPort® Endovascular R&D staff had a broad and in-depth exchange of views on product design and clinical requirements. The visitors showed their recognition on its product R&D and expressed their expectation on its future development. They also visited the headquarters of Shanghai MicroPort Medical (Group) Co., Ltd., and were impressed by its diversified businesses.

Since its first meeting in 1997, ENDOVASCOLOGY conference has the mission to bring in the current advancements in international vascular surgery field and show the latest achievements of China vascular surgery to the world. Themed on the lasted development of endovascology, this year's congress had over 240 keynote sessions and more than 200 parallel sessions, covering areas of aortic dissection, aneurysm, lower extremity arterial diseases, carotid artery diseases and splanchnic vascular diseases, which fully demonstrates the latest trends, developments and achievements of the fundamental and clinical researches of China's endovascology field.
