Shanghai, China——Recently, Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization released the “2018 Shanghai Innovative Product Recommendation List”(Recommendation List). The product in-house developed by Shanghai MicroPort Endovascular MedTech Co., Ltd. (“Endovastec™”), Castor Branched Aortic Stent-Graft System (“Castor”) was successfully selected. Castor launched  in June of 2017 after it Entered “Green Path”in 2015.

The recommendation catalogue complied by Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization aims to support the innovation-driven development strategy of Shanghai and build the innovation centre for science and technology with global influence. Encourage and support the research and application of innovative products through the government procurement. All the elected products belong to Shanghai major innovative products, which have intellectual property rights, Potential economic benefits and great market prospects, and are incorporated into the government procurement project system as well. This time, Castor has been selected into the“2018 Shanghai Recommendation catalogue of Innovative Products”, which will promote its marketization and industrialization.

The Recommendation List is designed to facilitate the implantation of Shanghai government's innovation-driven strategies to build a technological innovation center in the city. The Recommendation List is expected to provide references to decision makers of government purchasing to encourage and facilitate the development and application of innovative products. The product selected into this year’s list were also included in the government purchasing project system for their major innovation, independent intellectual property, great potential for economic benefits and promising market prospect. Castor included in 2018 Shanghai Innovative Product Recommendation List will promote its marketization and industrialization.
