Shanghai, China – Recently, the 4th “Beyond the Road, Aortic Forum” was successfully held by Shanghai MicroPort Endovascular MedTech Co., Ltd. (“Endovastec™”, or “the Company”). There are 11 doctors from Argentina participated in this forum. Under the support from the top clinical centers on the field of aortic disease treatment in China, this forum aims to provide a long-term learning and communication platforms for overseas doctors in cardiac surgery and vascular surgery.

On Aug 19th, Argentina doctors arrived at the headquarters of Shanghai MicroPort Scientific Corporation ("MicroPort®") and welcomed by Ms. Li LI, the VP of Marketing and Planning in Endovastec™, and Ms. Jing YAO, the Senior Marketing Manager in Endovastec™. They first visited the Self-Experience Center with introduction about products and the development of the Company, and then learnt the operational process of our products through simulator. In the end, the doctors went to the production base of Endovastec™ and close observed the manufacturing process of stent. The whole day program brought them deeper understanding of the corporate culture as well as our major products, especially the excellent performance and innovative features of Castor™ Branched Aortic Stent-Graft System (“Castor™”) and Minos™ Abdominal Aortic Stent-Graft System ( “Minos™”). Ms. Li LI said that, "Endovastec™ will insist on independent innovation, create a richer and more complete platform for academic exchanges between China and foreign countries, and work closely with doctors to promote the development of aortic interventional therapy technology ".

On Aug 20th, Argentina doctors came to Shanghai Ruijin Hospital to meet with the cardiac surgery team. Shanghai Ruijin Hospital is a large comprehensive teaching hospital which takes medical treatment and scientific research into account. It has rich clinical experience. Ye Xiaofeng, deputy chief physician of cardiac surgery of Shanghai Ruijin Hospital, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech, warmly welcoming the doctors from afar. Subsequently, Wang Zhe, deputy director of cardiac surgery, led the doctors into the operating room to observe operation. And during the interval of the operation, doctors had in-depth exchanges on the operational skills and current status of diagnosis and treatment of aortic diseases at home and abroad. Argentina doctors fully recognized the excellent clinical manifestations of Castor™. After case observation, doctors visited the Memorial Hall of Shanghai Ruijin Hospital to learn about the hospital history. At the end of the forum, Dr. Wang and Dr. Ye expressed their hope that the two sides would continue to cooperate, strengthen exchanges and learn from each other in the future.

On August 22nd, Argentina doctors came to Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences Fuwai Hospital, which is a national medical research and education center integrating medical treatment, scientific research, prevention and personnel training and is also the largest center for cardiovascular disease diagnosis and treatment in China. Professor Chang SHU, director of vascular surgery, met with the doctors to discuss the current status of aortic disease diagnosis and treatment technology and the future direction of development. At the same time, the doctors observed several demonstrations of Endovascular repair cases by Castor™, Minos™ and HTLP™. Through the observation, doctors have gained more knowledge of the new generation of Endovastec™ products, and again put forward their wish on clinical application for new products in Argentina. During the forum, doctors from Fuwai also shared valuable clinical experience with Argentina doctors. Both sides took this opportunity to exchange views and ideas, which benefited a lot. In the end, academician Shengshou HU, President of Fuwai Hospital, and Professor Chang SHU, jointly awarded certificates to Argentina doctors. They hope that such forum can deepen the academic exchanges to explore the development of vascular solution and finally relieve and solve diseases of more and more patients. 

Up to now, the 4th“Beyond the Road, Aortic Forum" has come to a successful conclusion. After the forum, the Argentine doctors expressed their gratitude for the professional academic exchange platform provided by the forum, and their high recognition for the brand of Endovastec™, and also expected Endovastec™ could provide better diagnostic and therapeutic programs for vascular diseases in various countries and regions of the world.
